Bespoke Fees template

Within the Fees ledger you can produce documents that can be sent to clients.

These include:

As each practice may have a preferred look to these documents they can be edited to produce your own bespoke documents.

 

To create a new bespoke template

  1. Login to Fees as Master.

  2. From the menu select Options.

  3. Select Documents from the submenu.

The following screen displays.

  1. Click the magnifying glass next to a fees document. In this example we will produce a bespoke Invoice template.

 

The following screen displays.

  1. Click on the invoices folders. A list of invoices will be displayed.

  2. To create a new invoice click New Template.

The following screen displays.

  1. In the Template Description field, type in a description of the invoice template, for example, Bespoke Invoice Template.

  2. In the Context Type field, select Invoice.

  3. Click OK.

The Tag Selection screen displays.

  1. Select the tags that you would like when editing your invoice template.

Below are some commonly used tags:

  1. Click Refresh.

  1. Click on Microsoft Word in the task bar.

The Microsoft word screen displays.

To turn on field codes:

  1. Click on Tools | Options and click the View tab.

  2. Select the Field Codes option.

  3. Click OK to confirm.

You will then need to insert the AutoMail tags in the body of the document.

 

To insert a tag into your template for Word 2002 and 2003:

    1. Place the curser in the Word document where you would like the tag to be inserted.

    2. Click the Insert Word Field option in the toolbar, (to the left of Insert Word Field).

    3. Highlight the tag that you would like to insert.

    4. Click Insert.

    5. Click Close.

 

To save your changes:

  1. Click Fees in the task bar.

  2. Click Save.

You will return to the IRIS Automail – Select Template screen.

  1. Highlight your customised template. For example, bespoke invoice.

  2. Click Select.

 

You will return to the Fees Document Options.

  1. Click OK to confirm you wish to use the template bespoke invoice as your template for invoices.

In the Microsoft Word editor, many of the functions of Word are available to use in your template, such as graphics, tables, styles, hyperlinks and so on. For more information on editing documents in Microsoft Word consult the Microsoft Help by pressing the F1 key in the Microsoft Word editor.
