Task Browser Tutorial

This tutorial will guide you through several scenarios on how the Task Browser works and can be used.

Example One

  1. Right-click on the Pm icon and select Task Browser.

  2. This will automatically open to show your outstanding Tasks.

  3. Under Tasks Assigned To  ensure that no staff ID is present.

  4. Enter the client identifier in question.

  5. Click Refresh.

Example Two

  1. Right-click on the Pm icon and select Task Browser.

Locate the task in question and either

Place a tick in the Completed box

  1. View the Task and select Completed and click OK.

  2. This will go back to the Task Browser and when the screen is refreshed the Task will disappear from view. This is because the Task Browser is showing Outstanding Tasks by default.

Example Three

  1. Right-click on the Pm icon and select Task Browser.

  2. Click Post to create a new task.

  3. Ensure your id is in the Assigned to: box.

  4. Enter details for the client, client job and specific client job stage.

  5. Click Reminder and enter a reminder for the future.

  6. Enter a subject and main body text if needed.

  7. Click OK to confirm the posting.

Example Four

  1. Right-click on the Pm icon and select Task Browser.

  2. A new task is noted, as it is Bold so to see the details highlight and click View.

  3. Review the task and amend the Assigned to: box to pass the Task to a colleague.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Back on the Task Browser click Refresh to update the Task Browser list.
