Welcome to the Practice Management Help.

Practice Management Help is designed to supply a user friendly help facility to find the answers to all questions. It is written in three distinctive styles:

Quick Guide

Tutorial

Reference

Quickguides are short factsheets that will show the completion a specific task without explaining the process in too much detail. Jumps within these guides will provide additional information should if required.

Tutorials provide step by step instructions for the various processes within Practice Management. Each tutorial is broken down into sections, which can then be followed to best suit your requirements

The reference section describe the terms and items that are used within Practice Management. Each topic contains links to the areas of the system and tutorials that relate to that topic.

Using Practice Management Help

Practice Management Help can be accessed in two ways:

Get help within an Practice Management screen

Practice Management Help Contents

The help is accessed within a dialog box by pressing F1 when using Practice Management or by clicking on the button on the top right of the screen you are viewing (question.bmp.gif). Either of these methods will display the help relating to the area of the program you are working with.

The Practice Management Help contents is accessed by clicking on Help from the Main Menu and then Help from the submenu. From here you can view all Practice Management help topics available, and find the best ways of using Practice Management Help to suit your needs.

Moving through Help topics

Within each help document there are a number of links to related topics, these are underlined and when you hover the mouse over the link it will change to a hand cursor. If you then click the left mouse button the link will be displayed, to return to the original topic click on the Back button at the top of the help screen.

In addition to linking to each other within the topic, there are also < and > buttons that can be used to progress logically through the tutorial topics.

Print a topic

A print facility is available to print the Practice Management Help topics. Practice Management Tutorials can be lengthy so it is especially useful to keep a physical record of existing topics, or for ease of use with the longer topics

To print a topic:

  1. Open the help topic by pressing either F1, clicking on the button, or by clicking on the Help Menu.

  2. Select the Topic to be printed.

  3. From the helpscreen menu, click File.

  4. Click Print.

To display a complete listing of the help documentation, click on the Contents button at the top of the help screen, from there you can select the topic, tutorial or reference section you are interested in by double clicking on it.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions can now be found in our Knowledge Base, on our website www.IRIS.co.ukwww.ptpsoftware.co.uk in the support section. To enter the site you will need your Company Reference Number. Once in the support area, click on the Knowledge Base icon on the right hand side. Once in the Knowledge Base search engine enter keywords of the question you have.
