This tutorial takes you through an example case of using the Job Planning screen. Job Planning has direct links to the Client Service and the Client service must be present in order to use Job Planning. For further information please see the client service help screens.
There are two examples detailed below.
Example One For jobs that have not been created, under a specific Client Service.
Example Two Jobs that have been created and scheduled and review the stages that have been completed.
Example Three Search for all created Personal Tax jobs and send an AutoMail letter (requires an AutoMail licence)
From the Pm icon right-click and select Job Planning.
Enter the relevant job, for example Accounts Production job.
Under the Include job ensure that only Not Yet Created is selected.
Click Find and this will search for all client service jobs that have not been created.
From this list you can now highlight and right-click (or use options below) to view the Client, the Service, create the Job or create the Job AND put into Planning Stage.
From the Pm icon right-click and choose Job Planning.
Enter the relevant job, for example Personal Tax job.
Under the include ensure that only scheduled is selected.
Click Find and this will search for all client service jobs that have been scheduled.
From this list you can now Highlight and right-click (or use buttons below) to view the Client, the Service or the Job. If you select the Job option then you can also go into the Job Profile for that client and review or update the stages there.
From the Pm icon right-click and select Job Planning.
Enter the relevant job, for example Personal Tax job.
Under the include ensure that pending, in planning stage, scheduled is ticked.
Click Find and this will search for all client service jobs that have been scheduled.
Select a range of clients
Right-click and select Generate Letter.
Select the Letter Template.
Click Print Now.
