This tutorial will guide you through creating a Client Service on the account and how this will effect the client. The Client Service is then linked through to the Job Planning screen so please Job Planning Help screen.
This Tutorial will go through three examples:
Example One This will deal with a Personal Tax client and the relative client service (Standard System Job).
Example Two This will deal with any Business and setting up of an Accounts job (Standard System Job).
Example Three A non-standard system job, with job repeat settings at 6 monthly.

A Personal Tax client and the relative client service.
Firstly you will need the Standard System Job Type set up for Personal Tax.
Assuming this is set correctly open up Practice Management and from the Pm icon right-click and select Client Lookup.
Highlight a Person on the system and then view.
Go to the Client Service Tab.
Click New and enter the Personal Tax job identifier
This will enter the Date Started as current date on the computer clock.
Enter the Next job p/ e. This is when the first job the client service will try to create will end, so select the appropriate year.
Enter any Notes - these are relative to this client only, and serves as a specific reference.
Click Add.
You will now be able to use Job Planning to create and schedule the client jobs.
A Business and setting up an Accounts job.
The Standard System Job Type for Accounts will need to have been set.
From the Pm icon right-click and select Client Lookup.
Highlight and View a Business you want the Account Client Service Selected.
Go to the Client Service Tab.
Click New and enter the Accounts Job identifier.
This will enter the Date Started as current date on the computer clock.
Enter the Next job p/ e. This will be set against the period ends against the client. Changes to information within here may effect Business Tax and Accounts production. It is advised you check this before changing information.
Select a Period End.
Enter any Notes - these are relative to this client only, and serves as a specific reference.
Click Add.
You will now be able to use Job Planning to create and schedule the client jobs.
A non-standard system job, with job repeat settings at 6 monthly. This will allow you to have the default setting for the job to be 6 months but allow you to change this relevant to the client selected.
Ensure the job has been created correctly.
From the Pm icon right-click and select Client Lookup.
Highlight and View the client desired.
Go to the Client Service Tab.
Click New, and enter the job identifier.
This will enter the Date Started as current date on the computer clock.
Then enter the Next job p/ e. As this is not a Standard System Job Type you will be required to manually enter the correct date.
Change the recurrence of needed. The default is 6 months but for this type of job it can be changed relative to the client.
Enter any Notes - these are relative to this client only, and serves as a specific reference.
Click Add.
Once the client service has been created you will also be able to change recurrence originally set.
