Viewing the details on a job.

This screen is also accessed from Job Planning where searching for jobs already in progress or creating the next one can be done.

Creating a New job

Clicking on New from the Job tab screen on the client lookup opens the Client Job Recurrence Maintenance screen. From here select the job in question.

If a current Job is highlighted as click New this will automatically fill in the same Job code. The system will extrapolate the data where needed to guess what the next job details would be. If the wrong job is highlighted change the details by clicking on the spy-glass next to Job Type.

Once all the information has been filled click Insert and this will update the client job tab field with the created job. Alternatively click Cancel and this will abandon the changes made.

The Delete and Profile options are relevant to jobs that have already been created, and will always be grayed out here.

Viewing a Job

With Viewing a job the same screens as the New Job screen appears, but the Job type field will be grayed out. The Job field indicates the identifier on the job. For example the Tax year 2002.

There is now a Completed tick box, and this can be used when all the stages within that profile have been completed (For details on completing stages please click here).

In ticking the Completed box and then Update, this will go back to the Job tab on the client maintenance screen. This job will now disappear from the screen. It has not been deleted and is still stored against the client and to find the information for that job deselecting Show current jobs only will bring details of that job back.

The Period Start and End information (as well as Statutory deadline) can be changed. If the job is linked to the Standard System Job Type then the Period End Date can be changed, but this will update the other fields as well.

Use Delete to remove the job from the client. In order to do this there must be no entries against the stages. If there are any the deletion will not proceed until all stages are all clear. Clicking Profile will go directly to the client's job profile. From within here change the details of the stages. For more information please click here.

There is also an Assignments button which will allows staff members to be linked to particular stages and post task linking the two accordingly. It is also possible to change details of the scheduled start and end dates. For details please click here.

If any changes are made on this screen then click Update to confirm them.
