The Summary dashboard gives you an at a glance view on the person’s portfolio performance centred around chargeable time and billing targets whilst tracking timesheet progress and where the time was spent in the period.
The year, period and person dashboard drop-downs allow you to look at all you team members results since you started using IRIS. These are automatically populated from the IRIS database and work in the same way for all dashboards that make use of similar selection criteria.
You can remove user names by marking them as 'no longer employed' from within Staff Maintenance. (If they were previously de-registered from Time & Fees, you will need to register them again first and then also select the no longer employed box - note this does not use up any of your timesheet licenses.)
This will compare the staff member's chargeable work for the period to their target. The targets are set in, System Maintenance | Practice | Practice Dashboards | Time & Fees | Targets
Where the selected staff member is the partner or manager for a group of clients, this will display the year to date average fees budget total for those clients. The Fees budgets are entered in IRIS Fees | Budgets | Client's Budget
The formula for the 'Fees Budget To Date (Avg)' field is as follow:
(Sum of the budgets for year / 12) * selected period number = Fees budget to date (Avg)
For example, Fees budgets entered for 12 period’s in the Fees ledger is, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120
Calculations for period 5: “CY Budget (YTD)” is ((10+20+30+40+50+60+70+80+90+100+110+120)/12) * 5 = 325
The reason why the calculation is done in this way, is so that you can put the whole year's budget into one period, for example, the first period of the year (that is, period 1), and still get a monthly breakdown throughout the year.

The formula for the 'Fees Budget To Date' field is as follow:
(Sum of the budgets for the year up to the selected period)
For example, Fees budgets entered for 12 period’s in the Fees ledger is, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120
Calculations for period 5: “CY Budget (YTD)” is 10+20+30+40+50 = 150
Where the selected staff member is the partner of manager for a group of clients, this will display year to date billed amount for those clients.
This is set in, System Maintenance | Practice | Practice Dashboards | Time & Fees | Billing Deadline
This displays a recent list of timesheets for the selected staff member. If a timesheet has not been created, it will shows as Missing.
This displays a breakdown of work for the staff member by non-charge and client type (for example, Business or Person).
