Create non WIP bill
Managers Partners Billers
Non WIP Bills are bills that do not affect the client’s WIP balance at all, recording an entry into the client’s DRS transactions only. An example of their use is for when a bill is to be raised for a commission where no work has been performed.
Non WIP bills are created in the same way as a Manual Bill and use the same Wizard.
The New Draft Bill View
Creating a Non WIP Bill requires the Work with WIP checkbox on the New Draft Bill View to be unchecked – if allowed. This checkbox is controlled by the WIP Bills Required? setting on the Settings tab of Billing Administration.
Once unchecked, the WIP Type will be shown as Non-WIP and the WIP selection will be hidden. The Create Draft Bill button will become active.
The Bill Wizard
The Header, Narrative and Actions tabs are the same as a Manual Bill.
The Analysis tab allows for a client or job to be added that the DRS transaction will be allocated against, and for the bill amount to be entered. Non WIP bills can only be Final Bills because they do not affect WIP.
