Enter SSP on the SSP Calendar

  1. Click Absence.

  2. On the Data menu, click Enter Absence Patterns.

  3. At the bottom of the screen, select SSP Entry from the list. The SSP Calendar is displayed.

  4. Click Choose Codes and click S.

The other codes are used for recording SSP history, so you don't need to use them under normal circumstances.

  1. Click and drag to select the sick period. The selection is blue - light blue is a qualifying day and dark blue is a non-working day.

  1. Click Save. If you have an open run, and the SSP period you have entered is before the SSP cut-off date, the colour of the period changes to reflect how each day is treated for SSP purposes.

  • Green days are SSP waiting days

  • Yellow days are SSP Paid days

  • Blue shows the days that SSP is not payable (for example, where the amount of days is not sufficient to form a PIW)
