Change pay for an hourly paid employee

If the employee is changing salary mid-month and you want to pro-rata the salary, see Salary change by date.

  1. On the Pay Basis list, click Hourly.

  2. Click Copy Current to Old.

  3. In the Contract Hours box, enter the employee's guaranteed hours per period.

  4. If required, enter the Full Time Equivalent. (Although this is not usually relevant for hourly paid employees, you can enter the Contract Hours and Full Time Hours, or the Contract Weeks and Full Time Weeks, or all.

  5. Enter the Hourly rate. If you've provided an Hours per week value, the other boxes are populated with the calculated salary details. The period salary is based on the pay frequency. Check that the values are correct.

  6. If overtime is payable for the payroll, enter the Overtime Base Rate.

  7. Click Save.
