Clear pay change records

The option for clearing pay change records can be found in System Utilities > Data integrity > Clear old data > Clear pay change records.

This option clears down files (up to a given date) and reduces the size of the CHNGHIST.dat and PAYCH.dat files (found in the payroll directory). Reducing the size of these files will in turn reduce the size of the payroll backups. Removing this data will affect some of the records that are accessed in IRIS Payrite.

When entering the Date before which records must be cleared, care should be taken, as for some fields, historical data can be viewed by drilling down e.g. with the Annual Salary field highlighted, press the Ctrl & space bar on the keyboard or click on the icon to the left of the field.
