Phase 1 UI Design Refresh

We are introducing a refreshed look for My ePay Window in August 2026. This first phase focuses on shared components that appear across the portal, so the changes will be visible throughout the product. The update applies to payroll admins, employer admins, and employees.

What is Changing

Overall Look and Feel

The overall appearance of My ePay Window has been refreshed with a lighter background, updated typography, and a more consistent colour palette. The result is a cleaner, more professional interface that is easier to navigate and use.

Employee Dashboard

The employee dashboard now has a cleaner, more welcoming layout. Key areas are easier to find at a glance, helping employees locate their payslips, documents, and payroll information more quickly when they sign in.

Navigation Updates

Top Navigation Bar: the top navigation bar now uses a dark colour scheme instead of the previous default orange bar.

Side Navigation: the side navigation menu has been refined with cleaner styling and clearer icons, helping users move around the portal more easily.

Page Layout Updates

Page Titles and Breadcrumbs: page titles are now more prominent and can include a pipe-separated subtitle for added context. Breadcrumb navigation appears directly below the header, helping users understand where they are in the portal.

Page Tabs: page tabs, such as those in the Administration section, now use a clean underline style. The active tab is highlighted in blue so users can quickly identify which section they are viewing.

Background Colour: the main page background is now white instead of light grey. This subtle change helps content areas stand out more clearly and supports a more comfortable experience during longer sessions.

Tables and Actions

Tables, Search, and Action Buttons: data tables now have a cleaner layout and improved spacing. The search bar appears alongside a blue search button and a Reset option. Row-level actions use refreshed outlined buttons with supporting icons, while page-level actions, such as Add User, follow the same consistent outlined style.

Notification Bar: the quick-access bar at the top of the main content area has been updated. Buttons for Notifications, Documents, ePayslips, and Employees now use a consistent dark style instead of the previous mixed colour buttons.

Branding Note

Organisations with a custom top navigation colour will keep their existing branding. Only users with the default orange top navigation will see the new dark navigation bar.

Who Will See These Changes?

These updates will be visible to all My ePay Window users from August 2026, including:

  • Employees accessing their payslips and payroll information

  • Employer admins managing employee records and settings

  • Payroll admins managing the portal

Do I Need to Do Anything?

No action is required. The updates will be applied automatically, and no data or settings will be affected.
