Reporting benefits on P11D

Submitting to HMRC

Select the required employer.

Go to RTI Real Time Information is the current method for reporting PAYE to HMRC, comprising FPS and EPS submissions. and then select theEXB Expenses and Benefits. EXB refers to any benefits or expenses that an employee receives from their employer that are not included in their regular salary. tab.

Choose the year you are reporting for from the list; this is usually the previous tax year, then select Create New EXB.

The number of employees with P11D, and any Class 1A Employers pay these directly on their employee’s expenses or benefits. NICs that are due, will display. You can adjust the total benefits figure with either an addition or deduction. Select Adjust Figures and enter a description and value for any Addition or Deduction, as required.

Select Create; the details will display for review.

Select Submit EXB to send the P11Ds and P11Db to HMRC.
Please ensure you have correctly recorded all benefits, as HMRC does not allow re-submissions of this report.
