Value tokens

Think of a token as the sum of a group of other items, this can be other tokens or nominals A nominal account is a general ledger account that you close at the end of each accounting year.. So, every pay element assigned the token will be added to the running total and will be output to the journal file.

A value token can be used with mapped journal outputs to populate debits and credits into individual columns.

Token names are not case sensitive.

Value token name Value token description
{Value1} The debit value will return a positive amount in a single column.
{Value2} The credit value will return a positive amount in a single column.
{Value3} The debit value will return prefixed with a minus in a single column.
{Value4} The credit value will return prefixed with a minus in a single column.
{Value5} Debits and Credits will be reported in a single column as a positive value.
{Value6} Debits and Credits will be reported in a single column Debits as a positive and Credits prefixed with a minus.
