Complete the NEST Configuration process

You only need to complete the NEST configuration process in your payroll once. To do this:

  1. Enable NEST submissions in Admin.

  2. Enable NEST submissions in Payroll.

  3. Enter your NEST Username and Password.

Admin Configuration

To enable NEST submissions in Admin:

  1. Log into Admin.

  2. From the File menu, select Global Settings and then Send Pension Files.

To ensure payroll users can access the feature:

  1. From the Operators/Groups menu, select Alter Operators/Groups.

  2. Select the relevant group and then Edit.

  3. Open the Payroll tab.

  4. Select the required company in Company Details (or leave at Default Rights if all your companies use the same permissions).

  5. Scroll down the Menu Permissions grid until you reach Pension and then choose, Retrieve Response.

Payroll Configuration

To enable NEST submissions in payroll:

  1. Log into payroll.

  2. From the Pension menu, select Configure Auto Enrolment.

  3. Open the Pension Files tab.

  4. In the Send Pension Files section, select NEST.

  5. Choose OK.

  6. From the Pension menu, select Configure Pension Fund.

  7. Select your NEST pension fund and then Edit.

  8. Open the Output Files tab.

  9. Enter your NEST Username and Password. These are the same details you use to log onto NEST’s website.

  10. Select OK.

    If you have not completed your NEST Employer Ref Number, Group and Payment Source you should do so now.
