How do I nominate a contact?
You need to tell us who’ll be responsible for managing the automatic enrolment process by nominating a contact.
The responsibility for complying with Automatic Enrolment legislation lies with the employer. It is important to ensure The Pensions Regulator correspond with the correct person at your company.
You’ll need your letter code and PAYE reference to hand. The PAYE reference is made up of numbers and letters only and can be found on letters you have received from The Pensions Regulator about automatic enrolment. Alternatively it can be found on the letter HMRC sent you when you first registered as an employer.
You can request The Pensions Regulator send help and guidance, via email, to the person responsible for carrying out the day-to-day auto enrolment tasks such as the staff member at the company, your accountant, a financial advisor or payroll provider. This person is referred to as the Secondary Contact / Additional Contact.
It is important to provide the contact details to ensure the right information gets to the right person in a timely manner.
Your letter code appears on all letters The Pensions Regulator send about automatic enrolment.
It is important you keep the contact details if the person responsible for automatic enrolment changes or the business address changes.
