July 2025: Product updates
We're pleased to announce the latest update to IRIS Recruitment.
These release notes contain a detailed breakdown of any new features or enhancements that have been developed, as well as any bug fixes that we have implemented. Our development teams release to production every 2 weeks on average, so our monthly updates contain multiple development releases.
Bugs may have been reported via the Support Desk, fed back to us internally, or found during our testing processes. Due to the bespoke nature of our software, there may be certain bugs reported that you haven't experienced in your system.

New Features
Right to Work Check Module
The Experian Right to Work module has been improved to make ID verification faster and more intuitive. You can now issue Candidate IDVT Requests directly from within the system, reducing manual steps.
Recruiters can also send IDVT requests to a specific candidate pool, allowing for more targeted checks. Additionally, a redesigned interface provides a clearer, more accessible view of the status of all submitted checks.
These enhancements are live and available immediately to all customers using the Right to Work module.
Hired Candidate API Enhancements
As part of ongoing improvements to the Open API, new fields have been added to the Hired Candidate API, allowing for more comprehensive data capture.
The IRIS Recruitment API is now listed on the IRIS Recruitment - Service Status, providing increased visibility of API availability and uptime.
Multiposter Usability Improvements
A minor update has been made to improve the Multiposter experience.
When no specific application form or advert is assigned, the system will now automatically default to the external application form set against the vacancy.
LinkedIn Posting Integration
IRIS Recruitment’s Multi-poster now supports posting Basic Jobs to LinkedIn—helping you reach more candidates with minimal effort. Basic Jobs are free listings aggregated by LinkedIn, shown on your company’s LinkedIn Page and visible in the LinkedIn Jobs tab.
This integration makes it easy to share job openings directly to LinkedIn, increasing visibility and streamlining the application process for candidates already exploring your company.

Updates to Candidate and Vacancy Privacy Policies
Following a review of our example Candidate Account and Vacancy Privacy Policies, we updated the statement for the legal basis for processing data collected from candidates. The basis has been changed from "contract" to "consent" to take into account that applicants may choose whether to provide special category personal data during the application process.
Example statement:
"The legal basis for our use of the information you provide to us during your application is your consent. We will use the information you provide to us to assess your suitability for employment with us and carry out our statistical analysis of recruitment processes."
These policies are the responsibility of the Data Controller (which in this context is the Customer). These policies can be updated, by Super Users, via the Settings area of your system.

Vacancy Closing Incorrectly Due to Data Purge | Resolved an issue where vacancies were incorrectly closed by the data purge process despite being active. This has now been corrected. |
Postponed Interviews Not Moving Candidates to Holding Stage |
Fixed a bug where candidates were not automatically moved to the holding stage when interviews were postponed using the bulk management tool. |
Self-Select Interview Confirmation Sending Incorrect Time | Addressed a problem where confirmation emails from self-select interviews showed the wrong interview time. |
Incorrect Merge Field for Self-Select Interview Links | Resolved an issue where the wrong merge field was used in self-select invitations, leading to broken or invalid links. |
Clients with Apostrophes Not Loading in Selector |
Fixed an issue where client names containing apostrophes (e.g. “Joe’s Garage”) were not loading correctly in the client selector. |
HTML Entity Display Issue in Reports | Corrected a display issue where ampersands were showing as & in report results. |
Score Summary Error | Resolved an error in the Score Summary screen that caused it to fail loading or show incomplete results under certain conditions. |
NHS Jobs: Invalid Pay Scheme Error | Fixed a validation issue where certain pay schemes were rejected by NHS Jobs due to incorrect formatting. |
Multiposter: ‘Requires CV’ Setting Not Working | Addressed a bug where the Requires CV setting was not being enforced, allowing postings to go live without a CV requirement. |
Experian DBS Credential Issues |
Resolved an issue where DBS checks failed due to invalid or outdated Experian credentials. |
Search Function Only Working for Vacancy Admins | Fixed a permissions issue where the vacancy search tool was only available to users with Vacancy Admin rights, rather than all authorised users. |
