August to October 2025: Product updates

We are pleased to share the latest updates to IRIS Recruitment.

These release notes provide a summary of new features, enhancements, and important improvements released during August, September, and October 2025. Our development teams release to production every two weeks, so our updates contain multiple releases and a range of updates.

Bugs or enhancements may have been reported via the Support Desk, discovered internally, or found during our routine testing. Due to the bespoke nature of our software, you may not have encountered all issues referenced.

New Features and Enhancements

Experian Right to Work

Candidate Request Integration

Experian’s Candidate Request workflow can be started directly from IRIS Recruitment.

Candidates can now complete their Right to Work check using the Experian mobile app. This reduces manual admin and improves processing times, while still supporting in-person imposter checks.

Candidate Pools

To improve organsiation and access control, for a more structured workflow for managing Right to Work (RTW) checks, candidates can now be assigned to specific RTW pools within IRIS Recruitment.

Assessment Centres — Design Enhancement

To be consistent with other recently refreshed modules and improve usability, a new Assessment Centres design is available.

Cascade Document Transfer — Experian Reports

When an Experian Right to Work or Background Check is completed, IRIS Recruitment stores a completion report.

In response to customer feedback, to steamline onboarding, these reports are now included in the document set transferred to IRIS Cascade when a candidate is hired.

Pen Test Fixes

Following our annual independent penetration test, all high and medium vulnerabilities were fixed in line with our vulnerability management processes.

Experian Background Checks – Regulation Update (Effective 1st November 2025)

Changes have been applied to support updated Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS (England & Wales)) regulations.

For non-Digital ID packages (for example, Upload to ATS), system users must now confirm the Documents Verification Method, supporting compliance with the digital-first guidance.

IRIS Recruitment API Enhancements

Usability improvements have been made to maintain system consistency that support multiple-field configurations and provide more robust data handling. The mapping interface has also been updated to allow several form fields to be mapped to a single Application Programming Interfaces (API) field.

Advanced Vacancies Report — Additional Criteria

Two new criteria options have been added to the Advanced Vacancies Report, giving users more flexibility when filtering and analysing vacancy data.

Ideas Portal Link in Help & Support

For users to share feedback and suggestions, a new link to the Ideas Portal has been added under the Help & Support tab on the User Dashboard.

Authorisation Notification Update

To improve the approval workflow experience and make it more accessible, Authorisation notifications now include the name of the current authoriser.
