January 2025: Product updates

We're pleased to announce the latest update to IRIS Networx.

These release notes contain a detailed breakdown of any new features or enhancements that have been developed, as well as any bug fixes that we have implemented. Our development teams release to production every 2 weeks on average, so our monthly updates contain multiple development releases.

Bugs may have been reported via the Support Desk, fed back to us internally, or found during our testing processes. Due to the bespoke nature of our software, there may be certain bugs reported that you haven't experienced in your system.

New features

New Referee Details Fields

The references module has been enhanced to collect more detailed information from candidates when providing referee details. The new fields include:

  • Dates From and To: Allows candidates to specify how long they have known their referee.

  • Reference Type: Options include Character, Employment, Education, or Other, enabling candidates to categorise the type of reference.

  • Consent to Contact: Candidates can indicate if they are comfortable with their referee being contacted.

    This is informational only and does not disable the automatic contact feature if enabled.

  • Notes: A free-text field for candidates to provide any additional information.

All fields can be toggled on/off and made mandatory as needed. By default, these fields are turned off. To enable and configure these fields, please contact the support team or your account manager.

UI Updates

Offer Progress Bar

  • A progress bar has been added to the Offer Details page, providing a clear, visual summary of offer progress. Hovering over the bar displays a tooltip showing the number of completed and remaining tasks.

Improved Scores Summary Page

  • The Scores Summary page UI has been updated for Applicant Scoring vacancies in both old and new navigation. Pagination has been added, and performance has been optimised for better usability and scalability.

Workflow Step in Vacancy Creation Wizard

  • The Workflow step is now available when creating vacancies in the new design. This allows users to add or remove workflow processes during vacancy creation. For configuration, please contact your account manager or raise a request via the support portal.

Removal of Navigation Footer Bar

  • The bottom navigation footer has been removed in the new design to optimise page layout and reclaim screen space. All quick-access functionality is now available in the top navigation bar.

Other Improvements

Date Picker Enhancements

  • Improved date picker functionality in candidate-facing forms now allows candidates to input dates by typing or using the browser's/device's native date picker, ensuring smoother and more stable performance across devices and browsers.

Vacancy Search Page SEO Settings

  • A new setting has been introduced to enable customisation of careers site search engine summaries, improving SEO capabilities for careers pages. For configuration, please contact your account manager or raise a request via the support portal.

Improved PDF CV Viewer

  • The PDF CV viewer has been enhanced for better optimisation and more stable viewing of CVs within a vacancy.

Issue Description
Cookie Settings Access Issue Resolved an issue preventing users from accessing cookie settings in the old navigation.

January 2025 – System bugs - new design

Issues Description
Incorrect Start Date Display in New Design Fixed an issue where the start date for a publishing was displayed incorrectly when editing in the new design.
Unable to Configure Vacancies List Resolved a bug where changes to the vacancies list view on the dashboard were not being saved.

January 2025 – System bugs - both designs

Issues Description
Not Required Audit Data Fix Fixed an issue where the ‘Not Required’ feature in offer tasks did not display accurate audit data. The audit column now correctly reflects user actions.
Error When Contacting Candidates Regarding Declines Addressed an issue causing occasional errors when bulk contacting candidates about declines.
Tazio Invite Expiring Early Fixed a bug where Tazio video interview invites were expiring prematurely.
Missing RTW Check Buttons in Vacancy Workflow Resolved an issue where Right to Work (RTW) check buttons were not displaying in the vacancy workflow view. Improvements have also been made to prioritise RTW check buttons in the quick actions.
Unable to Configure Vacancies List Resolved a bug where changes to the vacancies list view on the dashboard were not being saved.
Linked Forms Removed When Sending Emails Fixed an issue where email templates became unlinked from their associated forms when sending emails.
Notes Not Fully Displaying in Candidate Notes Overview Resolved an issue where the notes section truncated larger notes. The notes box now displays the full content, regardless of size.
