Create a Where Clause using the Builder

The Where Clause Allows you filter records using a specific criteria. Builder helps you create simple Where Clauses.

  1. On the required screen, select the cog icon to open the Where Clause Builder:

  2. Configure the following, as required:

    • Field: Choose from the Personal, Contract or Payroll tab that you want to filter by.

    • Operator: Specify whether the end result should be equal to, unequal to, less than, more than, or anything in between, to the Value.

    • Value: This is how you find the result.

    • Follow: Select to set the Where Clause to use a place holder. This means it checks the Field every time the Where Clause is used, rather than using a specified value.

    • Add Row: Add more items to your Where Clause, based on the Logical.

    • Logical: When adding more rows, you can set this to add the row as an AND or an OR.

  1. Select Set to save the Where Clause to the text box so you can edit it.

    Once set, it appears in the Where Clause text box.

  2. Select Close to close the Where Clause Builder without saving changes.

You cannot perform the more complicated Where Clauses found in Where Clause Examples, such as IN lists.
