Change the default language in IRIS HR Professional for all employees - admin

  • Multi-language is only available if you have added it to your account. Contact your Account Manager/Support for more information.

  • Welsh is the only language currently available in the multi-language feature. English, UK is the system default and is always available. More languages will be available soon.

Update the system default language

As an admin, you can update the default language for all employees' systems in the Custom Login area of the system as part of the multi-language feature.

Employees can also change the language in their system to one you have bought from the login screen.

To update the system default language:

  1. Sign in to IRIS HR Professional.

  2. Go to System Tools > Utilities > Company > Custom Login Screen Builder.

  3. In the Left Side panel, select the System Default Language dropdown and choose the language you want to set for employees' HR systems.

    The Default Language option in System Configuration and Custom Login Screen are linked, so if you update it in the Custom Login screen, both system areas update.

View purchased system languages

You can view the languages you have bought in the System Configuration screen. To view these:

  1. Sign in to IRIS HR Professional.

  1. Go to System Tools > Utilities > Tools > System Configuration.

    In the Languages section, the System Languages you have bought display.

  2. The Default Language dropdown displays the language currently set for your system.

  3. You can update the Default Language in the Custom Login Screen.
