Inactivate a Position

  1. Go to System Tools > Utilities > (Undefined variable: General.Position Management), select a Position from the list and choose Edit.

  2. Under Position Details, change the Position Status to Inactive.

Follow the same procedure to change a Position from Inactive to Active.

Why change the Position Status?

This functionality is used when the HR admin considers that a Position in the system is:

  • A future one that is not yet available for its employees (e.g. additional details need adding).

  • Created as a vacant position used in recruitment.

Inactivating a Position does not impact existing Assignments.
