Recording Parental Bereavement Leave

To begin recording Parental Bereavement Leave in IRIS Cascade HR:

  1. Log in to the system and search for the employee in question

  2. From the drop-down list of screens, select the PARENTAL BEREAVEMENT LEAVE screen

Contact your System Administrator if the screen does not appear in this list so they can enable access for you via Profiles

  1. Select Add a New Record. Complete the screen using the information provided to you by the employee

A description of each field is shown below:

Field

Description

Date of Birth

Enter the child’s Date of Birth

Date of Death

Enter the child’s Date of Death

Consecutive Weeks

Select this box if the employee is taking the leave over two consecutive weeks (defaults ticked)

Week 1 Start

Enter the start date of the employee’s bereavement leave

Week 1 End

Automatically populates with the end date when the Week 1 Start date has been entered

Week 2 Start

Enter the date the employee began their 2nd week of bereavement leave

Week 2 End

Automatically populates with the end date when the Week 2 Start date has been entered

Declaration Received

Select this box if a declaration has been received from the employee

Documents

If the employee provided you with a declaration in writing, or other supporting documentation, you may wish to store it here. This can be done by dragging and dropping them or using the Browse Files link
