Create Codes

Once you've decided which code parts you want to override, you can create system lists to record the GL code against the overtime record.

  1. Go to Admin > Application Data > System Lists > Create New System List.

  2. Enter a system list name and select Save.

  3. Select the Items tab to add the list items. (Use the Add System List Item option, not the Quick Add Items option.)

Label

Enter how the code should appear on the screen when creating the overtime records in HR. This can be independent to the code. Employee-friendly terminology can be used here.

Value

Enter the GL code. IRIS Cascade will use this in Payroll Integration to populate the GL override.

Display Order

The default is alphabetical order but you can use the display order to specify how items will be ordered within the system list.

Enabled

This field is automatically default to be selected but if a GL code is no longer in use you can clear the box to hide the list item from being attached to any further records.

  1. Select Save and repeat the process to build the list. Create a system list for each code you want to override.
