Set up the training module

You can use the Configuration Settings to specify settings relating to employee training enquiries and delegate notifications.

  1. Go to Training then select Configuration and then Settings

     

  2. Apply the settings as described in the following table:

    Description/How to complete

    Courses Available

    From the drop-down menu, select the range of courses that you want employees to be able to select from when they create training enquiries on their Training Enquiry screen:

    • All Available Courses (i.e. courses for which the Course Available From date and Course Available Until date are valid on the enquiry date)

    • Courses Marked Available for Enquiry

    • Training Plan Items Only

    Allow Ad-Hoc Enquiries

    If you want employees to be able to send general course enquiries, tick the box

    Send Invitation Email

    If you want delegates for scheduled courses to receive an invitation email, tick the box.

    Send Invitation Task

    If you want delegates for scheduled courses to see an invitation task on their task list, tick the box

    Notify Delegates’ Line Managers of Invitations

    If you want the line manager of delegates for scheduled courses to receive notification, tick the box

    Disable Workflows for Historic Scheduled Courses

    If you do not want workflows to run for historic scheduled courses, tick the box

  3. Select Update.
