Enhanced Office Reports
IRIS Cascade has a number of standard Enhanced Office Reports, which can be found in HR > Reports and Analysis > Enhanced Office Reports.
Enhanced Office Reports are a standard feature available to all users when enabled in their role.
Dedicated Enhanced Office Reports training is available, contact your account manager for more information.
Data sources
There are two types of Data Source you can use to create your report:
-
Queries created in Query Builder.
You can use multiple Data Sources in one report.
-
Queries can have prompts that will also be used when running the report.
Layout
You can select to format reports as a Table of Data, Chart, or Pivot Table.
Import and export
-
Reports can also be built in Excel, using its formula, display, and formatting options. You can then import them into IRIS Cascade and use them as templates.
-
Reports can be Output to CSV if needed, and imported into 3rd party systems.
Before creating a report
Think about:
-
What type of data you want to display.
For example, Works For, Hierarchy Levels and any custom fields you've added to any queries.
-
How you want the data to be displayed, including filtering options and groupings.
-
If you need to use a custom formula field.
Some screens also have (fx) calculated fields that can be included. E.g. Duration Days on the Absence screen.
IRIS Cascade has, as standard, three screens in query builder that can return absence data. It is recommended that these screens are not used in the same query as they hold and return data in different ways.
Absence - returns data from the absence records added to employees.
Absence (Dates) - returns all attendance data with one line per date. Often the only difference between records is the date.
Absence (Calculated) - Returns one line of data per employee and uses calculated fields based on a number of weeks to look back.
Remember, one report can contain data from the three absence screens in different queries. Just don't mix them.
