Enable page access without a login (de-secure)

You can enable access to certain pages in the system without the need to log in. This is referred to as de-securing. This enables employees to have shortcuts to these ares of the system and also provides access via intranets or similar sites. The following pages can be de-secured:

  • Phone Directory

  • Training Diary

  • Timesheet Status List

  1. Go to Admin. Loo at the General Settings section, then select System Properties.

  2. Select the General property, then select Allow De-Secured Pages.

     

  3. Ensure Value is selected, then click OK.

  4. Once de-secured, you simply need to notify applicable employees of the relevant URLs as shown in the following tables. Simply replace http://iriscascade or http://myhr with whatever you use.

For hosted (Cloud) users, the process is a little more complicated, as the URL needs to include bthe Company ID and licence code. If this applies to your organisation, contact the IRIS Cascade service desk for more information.

De-securing this page does not override profile level security: if employees click a course to make an enquiry, the system prompts for a login before displaying the Training Enquiry screen, and employees can only make an enquiry if their profile setting allows them to do this.
