Add a new subject to a category

Go to Admin.
- From the People, Posts and Skills section , select Skills & Competencies. You will a list of your current categories.
- From the list, click the name of the category that you want to add a subject to.
- Click the Subjects tab. You will see a list of any existing subjects for the selected category.
- If you want to add an individual subject and its properties:
- At the bottom of the screen, click Add a New Subject. You will see the Add a New Subject screen
Complete the details of the new subject, then click Add.

How to complete
Subject Name
Type a name for the new subject (50 characters, including spaces).
Code
If required, type an organisation-specific code assign to the subject. You can report on codes in Query Builder, but they are not linked to any other areas of the system.
Expires After
If you want the subject to expire after a certain period, type the required number of years and/or months; if you do not want the subject to expire, select Never.
In Use
Tick the box to make the subject available for use.
- If you want to add a list of subjects quickly, without specifying their properties:
- At the bottom of the screen, click Quick Add Subjects. You will see the Quick Add Subjects screen.
- Type the list of subjects, then click Add.
