Add a new category

  1. Go to Admin.

  1. From the People, Posts and Skills section, select Skills & Competencies. You will see a list of any existing categories.
  2. If you want to add an individual category and its properties:
    • At the bottom of the screen, click Add a New Category. You will see the Add New Category screen.
    • Complete the details of the new category, then click Add.

      Category Name

      Type a name for the new category (50 characters, including spaces).

      Competency Type

      Select the appropriate competency type from the drop-down menu. If your organisation is licensed for the Talent Management module, you can use the competency types as part of a 360-review process:

      • Behavioural - if you want 360 review participants to provide feedback.
      • Functional - if you don’t want 360 review participants to provide feedback.

      In Use

      Tick the box to make the category available for use

  1. If you want to add a list of categories quickly, without specifying their properties:
    • At the bottom of the screen, click Quick Add Categories. You will see the Quick Add Categories screen.
    • Type the list of categories.
    • Click Add.
