Release notes — June 2026
HR
Enhancements
-
Dashboard chart enhancement: The standard dashboard chart, My Upcoming holiday / Bank Holidays has been enhanced to bring it in line with the IRIS style guidelines and to improve accessibility.
-
Workflow: In the Workflow catalogue, when you click on the Processes link the results sometimes timed out and didn't load. We have added pagination to this area so the data can be loaded.
Fixes
-
New starters: When an employee is added to IRIS Cascade and they have a Continuous Service Date in the past, if the user adding them didn't have full access to the hierarchy, that user would have to wait until the next day before they could see the employee. This happened because IRIS Cascade builds relationships between users every night. We have now changed how this works and the user adding the new starter, in the above scenario, should be able to see the employee straight away.
-
Email design: We have corrected an issue when adding fields to an email template. The field,Form Separator was visible when it shouldn't be seen. The Form Separator doesn't return any data so it should not be visible.
-
Attendance category: All attendance categories have a property called Allow overlap. This means the absence can be booked on the same day as another. The standard category, Lieu, didn't work correctly when this property was ticked. This has now been fixed and it works the same way as all other categories.
-
Self serve timesheets: When a timesheet has been approved, it can be unapproved by someone with the right access. The button to do this was showing an old design. This has now been corrected to match the new styling.
-
Screen designer: When adding a Form Separator to a screen, in Tables & Fields the Control Type was being displayed as a Yes/No. This has now been corrected and displays as a Form Separator.
-
Recruitment+: In the Applicant audit, when viewing a lot of data it wasn't possible to scroll horizontally. A scroll bar has now been added so the user can see any/all data.
-
Workflow forms: When using a workflow form across multiple stages, the multi check tick boxes were not keeping the selection from the previous stage. This only affected the multi check tick box and has now been fixed.
-
Missing requests: If an employee made a request but their line manager (Works For) doesn't have a login account the request would go missing. This has been fixed and now these requests will only be visible to anyone with the System Administrator role.
Payroll
Enhancements
-
Vehicle Mileage Legislation - HMRC have announced changes to the Approved Mileage Rate for the first 10,000 miles for Cars and Vans. The tax free amount that employers can reimburse for employees using their own vehicle is increasing to 55p for the first 10,000 miles for tax year 2026 to 2027. The rate of 25p per mile remains for each business mile over 10,000 miles
To accommodate these changes, Legislation > Vehicle Mileage Schemes has been updated to show the new rates effective from 06/04/2026.
Further information can be found at Vehicle Mileage Schemes 2026/2027. -
Gender Pay Gap Report - A new option has been added to allow employees to only show on Gender Pay Gap for bonus payments only. Previously, if an employee had Include in Gender Pay Gap set to Yes, the amounts for bonus and regular payments would show on the report.
In Employee Details > Pay Record, Include in Gender Pay Gap Report now includes a drop down menu with the following options:
-
GPG and Bonus - will include employees regular payments and bonus
-
Bonus Only - will only include employees bonus
-
No - will not include the employee on the Gender Pay Gap Report
These changes are also reflected in Actions > Global Employee Updates > Include in Gender Pay Gap Report, and also in Query Builder
-
Fixes
-
Bulk Import Pay - When using Bulk Import Pay and adding a lot of elements, the action buttons to process the changes would not be visible on screen. To fix this, we have added a scroll bar to the bottom of the Bulk Import Pay screen
-
Duplicate Email notifications. When auto-synchronising paysips for more than one company, employees could receive duplicate email notifications. We have fixed this issue, ensuring only 1 notification is sent
-
Email Notification not received. When integrating payslips, some employees would not receive the corresponding email notification. To prevent this, we have changed the process so that the payslip integration and email notification are sent at the same time for employees
