Enhancements

  • NEW IRIS Cascade menu: In January 2025 we released a new look and feel to the menu system. As a result of feedback in change lab we have made improvements to this menu system.

    • Collapsible left-hand menu: The original menu can be collapsed using an option at the bottom so it just displays icons. This will affect all areas/modules in Cascade. Hovering the mouse over the collapsed menu will display the full menu options.

    • Pinned details menu: In certain areas of Cascade, a Details menu is accessible from the left-hand menu, this section can be pinned so it is always in view.

    • Moveable details menu: Once the details menu has been pinned, it is now possible to move it over to the right hand side of your browser window.

    • Remembering settings: IRIS Cascade will remember the last position of each of the menus above when you log out. Meaning a user can determine how they want IRIS Cascade to be presented the next time they log in.

  • Gainsight cookie changes: As part of a wider IRIS initiative, the previously optional Gainsight cookie has now been reclassified as an essential cookie across all products. For more information, go to our Cookie policy change page.

  • Cascade dashboard: We have made graphical improvements to the My Request Summary and My Upcoming Holiday / Bank Holidays standard dashboard charts to make them clearer and easier to use.

Fixes

  • Cascade dashboard: A fix has been applied to the standard dashboard chart, My Holiday Balance, where it occasionally rounded up when an employee was using hours and minutes. E.g. 237 hours 35 minutes became 238 hours.

  • Cascade text editor: A fix has been applied to the position of a pop up when trying to add a link or a picture using a text editor. The resulting pop up was aligned on the right hand side instead of directly underneath the button clicked. This issue affected the following places;

    • Email design

    • Privacy notice

  • Cascade: A fix has been applied when booking a holiday and going over your entitlement, a pop up message can be displayed showing a warning. The pop up wasn't closing when the Cancel button was clicked. This pop up warning only appeared if your system was set to Display warning against your holiday profile.

  • Training schedule: An improvement has been made to the styling of the Details pop out menu that displays a calendar key. This menu only appears when cloning an existing scheduled course.

MyCascade

Enhancements

  • NEW More menu: To help us meet WCAG 2.2 AA 2.4.5 guidelines we have added a new More menu to the header bar. It will contain links, when available, to:

    • Directory

    • Org chart

    • Inbox

    • Awards

  • Org chart: When accessing the org chart, the selected employee will be highlighted to the user. This highlight will be a shadow effect that surrounds the employee box. This has been done to make it obvious who was the selected employee.

Fixes

  • My Details sorting: A fix has been applied to the sorting of columns on the Document screen when viewed in My Details. The issue happened when sorting by the Created Date, the sorting was incorrect because the field included both date and time.

  • Inbox: A small fix has been applied when interacting with a pop-up (viewing an absence) on the MyCascade home page, data in the background disappears after scrolling. This issue affects user experience as it obscures necessary information. The page background now stays in place.
