Feature removal
The standard IRIS Cascade feature, Multi-Step Authentication, has been removed for security reasons. Any customers who had this enabled were emailed and told of the changes so they can make other arrangements.
This feature was seen by users by way of a Memorable Word prompt when logging in.
Users who had his enabled will be switched to the standard Username & Password. We recommend that you consider making changes to your Password Policy to strengthen the requirements. Increased password length for example.
MyCascade
Enhancements
-
My Details - Document/files are now visible on employee screen. These can also be opened when viewing the actual record.
-
My Details - The width of the screens have been increased to make more use of the available window. This will be more obvious of larger displays.
-
My Details - On screen with many fields, when scrolling down the screen name will stay at the top of the screen.
-
Home page - In the inbox list, if there's a warning associated with a request, this will now be displayed underneath the link to highlight to a user that there's more information available.
Fixes
-
Query Builder - Numeric fields were showing in scientific format. When using a Numeric field, from a screen, in a query, the results are sometimes shown in a scientific format if the characters exceeded 6 numbers. This has been corrected and the query results, along with the Excel export, now show the expected data. This might impact any saved queries and/or reports you have so please check.
Payroll
Enhancements
-
Integration - Paternity Pay: An option has been added to Integration > Paternity Pay > Configuration to allow you to base the Occupational Pay element on Salary
A new field 'Occupational Pay Calculation Basis' has been added. The options on the drop-down menu are for Salary or Average Weekly Earnings.
When Salary is selected, the system will calculate all occupational pay based on the Standard Salary Element selected. -
Integration - Average Holiday Pay: And option has been added to Integration > Average Holiday Pay > Configuration to allow the calculation of Average Holiday Pay to exclude periods where certain elements have been paid.
At present, Cascade will automatically exclude any periods of statutory payments or zero net pay from the average holiday pay calculation. To enhance this further, we have added an option to exclude periods where specific pay elements have been paid.
Within the Configuration Screen > General section, a new item can be found 'Exclude Periods From Calculation'
Using the Element picker, select the pay elements required. Any periods that have been run including these elements will be excluded from the Average Holiday Pay calculation. -
Fixes
-
Element Pickers - Where a large number of elements are setup in a payroll company, a fix has been applied to ensure the relevant elements are showing correctly when using the element pickers
-
Gross Pay Analysis Report - The report has been adjusted to ensure the employee statistics are not displayed on an individual page.
Scalability and infrastructure
-
Payroll Task Runner service - We have made the service which processes background payroll tasks 64-bit. This allows the task runner to address more memory. Doing this means tasks important to payroll, such as processing payslips and GL exports should be more reliable.
