IRIS Cascade is moving to Microsoft Azure cloud — April 2026
As part of our ongoing programme to modernise and strengthen the infrastructure that supports IRIS Cascade, we will be upgrading our hosting platform in 2026.
During 2026, IRIS Cascade will be moving to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. This move will build upon the existing resilience, security, and scalability of the platform, and ensure a future-proofed modern architecture. Microsoft Azure will help us to serve you, our customers, better by providing a robust platform for IRIS Cascade for years to come.
We want to assure you that your IRIS Cascade data will continue to be 100% secure and will continue to reside entirely within the UK.
Why is this beneficial to you?
-
Improved performance and reliability — Microsoft Azure's infrastructure offers enhanced uptime (99.99% over the last 12 months), faster processing speeds, and greater resilience compared to the current environment.
-
Enhanced security and compliance — Azure provides industry-leading security features, certifications, and compliance frameworks, ensuring your data remains protected to the highest standards.
-
Greater scalability — Azure's cloud platform allows IRIS Cascade to scale resources dynamically to meet growing demand, meaning a more responsive and consistent experience for your users.
-
Long-term platform investment — This move reflects IRIS's investment in a modern, future-proof infrastructure that underpins continued product development and support for IRIS Cascade customers.
What happens next
This will be a phased move with timings of migrations to be confirmed prior to ensure that there is no disruption to your business.
What do you need to do?
As part of the move, we will be changing the Cascade URL to:
https://{company}.cascade.irisglobal.com
We recommend you arrange for an internal company communication to be in place ready for this change, as following the move the new URL will need to be used.
If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact your account manager or our customer service team.
Where can I find further information?
Further information is documented within our security assurance statement, and our Frequently Asked Questions page.
I’m currently an on-premise customer
While this move to Microsoft Azure Cloud does not include on-premise customers, IRIS would like to emphasise that moving to the cloud is becoming increasingly beneficial for all businesses, and we encourage all of our on-premise customers to consider this option for their future data needs.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in us.
