Failure Notification Service
At IRIS Software Group, we are committed to enhancing your ability to manage errors during record creation and updates through our API.
To support this, we have introduced the Failure Notification Service, currently accessible for the employee and jobs endpoints. Our future roadmap includes expanding this functionality to cover additional endpoints in upcoming updates.
This service enables designated users to receive real-time alerts via email, facilitating prompt identification and resolution of any issues that may arise during critical operations.
You can include multiple email addresses during the configuration step by separating them with a comma (,). This field has a limit of 50 characters, so the number of email addresses you can include is restricted. We recommend using group emails for larger user distributions.
The email notification is in the following format:
From: irishrapi@cascadecloud.co.uk (Subject to change in future updates)
Body:
IRIS HR API Failed .....[What Operation Failed]
[Description of Failed Operation that will include API IDs]
Timestamp: [The date time the record was process]
Validation Error: [Why the Operation errored]
Use the Failure Notification Service Email feature

In IRIS Cascade, go to Admin > General settings > System Properties > General > select Iris API Failure Notification Email.
A pop-up appears, prompting you to enter the designated email address.

Once configured, you can audit any API failures that triggered an email by navigating to Admin > Interfaces and diagnostics > E-mail Queue.
