Absence Reason Mapping

Absence Reasons in the IRIS HR API represent the Attendance Categories and Attendance Types in IRIS Cascade.

• Categories are the root Absence Reasons without a parent (ParentId is null).

• Types are Absence Reasons that have a parent (ParentId is not null).

Supported Categories and Types

• All Categories and Types defined on the Admin > Application Data > Attendance and Calendars > Attendance Categories screen

• The Statutory Leave Types defined on the MATERNITY/PATERNITY/ADOPTION screen on the Statutory Type list.

Unsupported Attendance Categories and Type are not currently exposed via the IRIS HR API.
