Setting the Frequency of Enforced Password Changes
For each user group in the system, you can specify the number of days (up to 127) when a password should expire, forcing the user to change their password. It is also possible to set the number of days prior to expiry, that the user is warned.
- Go to Maintenance, then select User Groups from the menu.
- The User Group Maintenance window displays with all existing user groups in the left-hand panel. Select the required user group. Group details are displayed in the General tab.
- Select EDIT. Available fields are then made editable. Edit the number of days before the password should expire for all members of this group. This defaults to 0 (meaning the password does not expire) and can be set up to 127 days.
- Edit the number of days before the password is due to expire, where a warning is displayed, for example, 4. This defaults to 0 (meaning no warning is provided) and can be set up to 127 days.
- Once the required edits have been made, select SAVE.
