Deleting a security role
Unwanted security roles can only be deleted if they are not currently in use, i.e. no users are assigned to a user group with the security role applied. If a padlock icon is displayed adjacent to the Security Role details in the right-hand panel, it is in use and you are unable to delete the security role.
- Go to Maintenance, then select Roles from the menu.
- The Role Maintenance window is displayed. Select the required security role in the left-hand panel. If the role can be deleted, the DELETE button becomes enabled. Select DELETE to delete the selected role.
- The selected role is displayed with a strike-through (as shown in the following graphic). Select SAVE to confirm the deletion.
- An Update complete message is displayed. Select OK to close the message and return to the previous window.
