Deleting a security role

Unwanted security roles can only be deleted if they are not currently in use, i.e. no users are assigned to a user group with the security role applied. If a padlock icon is displayed adjacent to the Security Role details in the right-hand panel, it is in use and you are unable to delete the security role.

  1. Go to Maintenance, then select Roles from the menu.
  2. The Role Maintenance window is displayed. Select the required security role in the left-hand panel. If the role can be deleted, the DELETE button becomes enabled. Select DELETE to delete the selected role.
  3. The selected role is displayed with a strike-through (as shown in the following graphic). Select SAVE to confirm the deletion.
  4. An Update complete message is displayed. Select OK to close the message and return to the previous window.
