Adding or Removing Attachments in the Emailer Suite
The Emailer suite is used to send documents to suppliers and customers by email. In addition, you can also add attachments to the emails being sent.
You can either:

add any attachments to documents already stored in IIRIS Financials or IRIS Financials Purchasing (e.g. include the quote attached to a purchase order) to the email(s) being sent. This is a single setting, which applies to all emails sent until the setting is changed. For more information, please see Configuring Email Settings.

manually add an attachment to include with all the emails being sent via the applicable Emailer suite module (where the document type matches the attachment details). For example, this would be useful to notify suppliers of a change company details, such as email address.
Adding Attachments to all Emails Being Sent
This topic describes how to add an attachment to be included with all emails.
Once the emails containing the attachment have been sent, you must remove the attachment if it is no longer required, otherwise the attachment continues to be included as an attachment until you remove it. For more information, please see the Removing Attachments section of this topic.
- Select the Document Type Attachments icon on the toolbar.

The Document Type Attachments dialog is displayed. Choose the document type from the Doctype drop-down list, then select Drill(...) in File Path to browse to the location where the file is saved. Select the required attachment, then select Open.

The chosen file details are then displayed in File Path. Enter a description for the attachment in Description, then select Add.

The file is attached to all documents of that document type that are sent via Document Emailer.
If you have previously added an attachment, it is displayed in the File Path drop-down list. You can select the attachment from the list if you want to use it again or if you are attaching it to a different document type, then select Update.
Removing Attachments Sent out with all Emails

To remove the attachments, select the Document Type Attachments icon on the toolbar.

The Document Type Attachments dialog is displayed. Select the attachment you want to remove, right-select, then select Delete from the pop-up menu.

A message is displayed prompting for confirmation that you want to remove the attachment. Select Yes to confirm.
