UK untaxed interest section (SA800)

This section is used to enter information to populate the SA804 pages of the tax return.

Return all untaxed income by entering the untaxed income of the accounting periods ended in the period 6 April [year] to 5 April [year].

Refer to the HMRC Self Assessment Partnership Tax Return (SA800) guidance if needed (opens in a new tab).

  1. Open the required tax return, then select the Data input tab.
  2. If the required section is listed, select it and skip the next step. If not, select Add a new section.

  1. On Choose a section to add, under Investment income, select UK untaxed interest.

  2. If the section is crossed through, it has already been added to the tax return. To adjust it the existing values, close the window and select the section on the Data Input tab.

  3. The Period start is populated with the start of the current tax period 6 April [year] and Period end populated with the end of the current tax period 5 April [year]. These can be changed

  4. For each item in Interest and other receipts from UK banks etc. enter a Description and Amount. The Total is automatically calculated.

    A new line is automatically added. Unwanted lines can be deleted using the bin icon.

  5. For each item in National Savings & Investments received gross, enter a Description and Amount. The Total is automatically calculated.

    A new line is automatically added. Unwanted lines can be deleted using the bin icon.

  6. For each item in Other income from UK savings and investments, enter a Description and Amount. The Total is automatically calculated.

    A new line is automatically added. Unwanted lines can be deleted using the bin icon.

  7. Select Save changes.
