This section is accessed via the Data Input tab within the tax return and allows you to override the Foreign Tax Credit Relief calculated by the IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts computation.
IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts follows the general guidelines for calculating Foreign Tax Credit Relief that are included in HMRC helpsheet 263 Calculating Foreign Tax Credit Relief on income. However, IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts does not apply the limits and rules of the large number of Double Tax Treaty arrangements that are applicable for different countries.
