Manually create a trial balance CSV file

The trial balance CSV import file must be structured as:

Account,Description,Year End dd/mm/YYYY

where:

  • Account is a mandatory column
  • Description is a mandatory column
  • Description can be empty, but the header must exist
  • Replace dd/mm/YYYY in the header with the correct year end date
  • Credit values must be preceded with a minus sign

If required, download the sample CSV file to use. You can delete unwanted content and replace with your own. You can then import this file into IRIS Elements Accounts Production.
