Synchronise with IRIS Accountancy Suite
Please ensure that:
- IRIS Accountancy Suite has been updated to the latest 21.n version, which is available for download from the IRIS website
- you've removed any old, redundant, or expired client records (see this support article for details on bulk deletion, or this help article for guidance on deleting individual clients)
- you're using a supported browser
The IRIS Elements (v.0) synchronisation uses time-stamps to determine when and where the most recent data changes occurred. Therefore, it's important that the time on the IRIS servers is as accurate as possible.

Activate your IRIS Elements (v.0) license
Before you can connect to IRIS Elements (v.0), you need to make sure your license is available and active.
- In the IRIS Accountancy Suite, go to Tools > Licence Details.
- Select the Current Licenses tab.
- If Elements is listed, your license is activated. Select Close to exit. You can now connect IRIS Accountancy Suite to IRIS Elements (v.0).
- If Elements is not listed, select theUpdate Licenses tab and select Check for updates. Go to step 3.
- Available licenses are displayed. Select Elements.
- Close the Licensing dialog. Your IRIS Elements (v.0) access licence is now active. If you need assistance, call our support line on 0344 815 5555.
Connect IRIS Accountancy Suite to IRIS Elements
- In the IRIS Accountancy Suite, go to File > System Maintenance > System > Set up for IRIS Elements.
- Follow the instructions on the sign up screen.
- When prompted, sign in to IRIS Elements (v.0) or visit www.iris-elements.com using the email address and password that you used during the set up.
This step links IRIS Accountancy Suite with IRIS Elements (v.0). Any other licenses you've purchased for IRIS Elements (v.0) will be applied automatically after completing this step.
If your client data isn’t displaying in the Clients area of IRIS Elements (v.0), the service that performs this action might have stopped running. To resolve, follow the steps in this Support article.
Set up users, groups, and permissions
Congratulations! Once you've connected to IRIS Elements, you can invite users and add them to groups.
