Send Forms

When you want to collect responses for an online form, you need to send the form. You can send form invites immediately or schedule them to be sent in advance (text messages only).

You need to create the form in IRIS Reach before it can be sent. For more information, go to Create and Edit Forms.

  1. Select Parent Reach Module for IRIS Reach used to send MyEd app messages, texts, or emails to parents and carers for individual or all students. > Send Communication.
  2. The Parent Reach - Send Communication page is displayed. Select Send a Group Message or Send a Group Email.

Send a Group Message

Text messages are created in the usual way. For more information, go to Select Communication Recipients.

In Step 2 of 4 (creating the message), you can edit the Send Date to a future date and Send Time to a specific time if required, or leave at the default of ASAP.

The form is selected from the Pre Made Attachment drop-down list. Scroll to find the form listed under Form Manager.

Select [LINK] from the Dynamic Text A token that is replaced by text when a message is sent. For example, adding [Title], would be replaced with Miss, Mr, Mrs, depending on the title recorded in a database for the recipient. drop-down list to add the form to the message.

Send a Group Email

Group emails are created in the usual way. For more information, go to Select Communication Recipients.

In Step 2 of 4 (creating the message), select the required form from the Pre Made Attachment 1 drop-down list (two Pre Made Attachment drop-downs are available if you are sending more than one form). Scroll to find the form listed under Form Manager.

Then add a link text field to the body of the message using the [LINK1], [LINK2] or [LINK3] dynamic text fields. For more information, go toUse Dynamic Text in Communications.

View the Form in MyEd App

Recipients can go to the MyEd Name of the application parents and carers use to receive messages sent by schools using IRIS Reach. App and find the form in My Students > Forms or from Messages.
