IRIS Absence Call Settings

IRIS Absence Call Module for IRIS Reach used to manage sending alerts for absent students. settings are used to manage:

Settings are applied for all absence calls An automated call made to parents and carers of selected students when they are absent. made but you can override settings by managing calls.

To check or manage settings for your organisation:

  1. Go to Absence Call An automated call made to parents and carers of selected students when they are absent., then select Manage Settings.
  2. Enter or select the following details, as required: 

    School Name Pronunciation Enter your organisation's name as you want it referred to in the calls
    Greeting Enter a greeting for your messages, for example, Hi
    Maximum Attempts Per Recipient Enter the total number of times to try and successfully make the call
    Call Retry Delay in Minutes Enter the number of minutes to wait between attempts to successfully make the call
    AM Session - Calls Start Time

    The session start and end times determine whether the message sent refers to the absence as for an AM or PM session.

     

    To make sure the correct message is sent, the start and end times must be set accordingly for your absence alerts A MyEd app message, text message, email, or automated phone call. process: 

     

    • If you send AM and PM session absence alerts, set the call start and end times to match the session times in your Management Information System (MIS).
    • If you only send absence alerts for AM sessions, AM Session - Calls End Time must be set as the end of the school day.
    • If you do not send alerts using reports from your Management Information System (MIS), set the session start and end times as required.

  3. To save, select Update.
