Hiding Accounts no Longer Required, e.g. Bank, Cost Centres

The nominals and ledgers used in this topic may be different to those in your chart of accounts.

There will be occasions when certain accounts will no longer be required. For example, a trip that has occurred, a student who has left, a supplier no longer in business, cost centre that is no longer required or nominals that are not used.

The easiest way to prevent access to these accounts is to use the system defined NO_ACCESS security role.

  1. Select Masters > Accounts from the menu bar then select the required ledger from the List of Ledgers dialog.

  2. Select the required account from the Account Maintenance dialog then select the Security tab.

  3. Select the NO_ACCESS security role for View, Modify and Post.

  4. Click the Apply button to complete the process.
