Posting ParentMail Transactions

To post ParentMail transactions within IRIS Financials:

Post a Nominal Receipt

You will need to use the Nominal Receipt document type.

You should show the Income nominal codes and their accounts ONLY on the nominal receipt. You do not have to show VAT (choose VAT rate "X") and do not have to make an entry for the transaction fees.

Use the "paid less refunds" column on your ParentMail summary for these figures.

Post a Non-Order Purchase Invoice

This will need to be coded to the ParentMail supplier account and will just be for the transaction fee from ParentMail. The VAT rate will need to entered as 'S', this will enable the VAT amount to be reclaimed where possible.

Post a Direct Debit using the Purchase Payment input form

This can then be allocated with the Non-Order Purchase invoice posted in step 3.

Reconcile the Bank

Go to the Bank Reconciliation and you will need to click on the Nominal Receipt on your cashbook then, holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, also click on the Direct Debit document, and finally click on the ParentMail transaction line on your Statement side. These will all balance off to 0.
