Deleting Unwanted Accounts
There will be occasions when an account needs to be deleted. You can only delete an account that has not been previously posted to.
To delete an account:

Select Masters > Accounts, then select the applicable ledger.

Select the applicable Account, then click the Delete button.
If the Delete button is not available to select, it means the Account has been posted to so you will not be able to delete it. Please see the following section to hide the Account.
Hiding an Account that cannot be deleted
The easiest way to prevent access to these accounts is to use the system defined NO_ACCESS security role.
- Select Masters > Accounts from the menu bar then select the required ledger from the List of Ledgers dialog.
- Select the required account from the Account Maintenance dialog then select the Security tab.

Select the NO_ACCESS security role for View, Modify and Post.
- Click the Apply button to complete the process.
