IRIS Financials – Gainsight suppression release (October 2026)

This release stops IRIS Financials sending system activity to Gainsight. It is for on-premise customers only.

Gainsight activity data no longer sent

IRIS Financials no longer uses Gainsight to send notifications to customers or to record system activity. We are removing the Gainsight functionality from the application in the next release. Before then, this release stops the application sending activity data.

You do not see any change in IRIS Financials after you apply this release.

Who needs this release

You need this release if you host IRIS Financials on your own servers (on-premise). If IRIS manages your system on the PS Cloud estate, you do not need to do anything. We have already applied this change for you.

This release works with V700 and V600 environments.

Installation and database changes

This release is an Autoupdater package that runs SQL Server scripts to switch off Gainsight. It does not change any of your data.

Apply the package out of hours, or when no one is using IRIS Financials, to avoid disrupting users.

Before you start

You need:

  • the Autoupdater package Gainsight Removal Tool v1.0.0.abp

  • Autoupdater utility build 0.11.1 or later

  • access to the machine that hosts the IRIS Financials server components. This is usually the database server with SQL Server installed.

Apply the package

  1. On the machine that hosts the server components, open the Autoupdater utility.

  2. On the Select Package page, in Package Location, enter the location of Gainsight Removal Tool v1.0.0.abp. You can also select the browse button (...) to find the file.

  3. Select Next.

  4. On the Summary page, check the package and database details. The page shows "This package has no parameters". You do not need to enter anything.

  5. Select Install.

Restart the V700 service

After the installation finishes, restart the V700 service.
