Applying Security to an Account
CUSTADMIN access only
In addition to apply security roles to nominals and ledgers, it is also possible to apply security roles to specific accounts. This is particularly useful for bank accounts for example, where users from different locations will need access to specific accounts.
When defining security roles for accounts, the following options are available:
The following example shows theSecuritytab in theAccount Maintenancedialog used to apply security settings for an account. The settings shown indicate that only users who have the L_BANK security role assigned can view the selected bank account or post entries to the bank account. Only users with Z_SYSADMIN can amend the properties of the selected bank account.
Whichever role is shown in the drop-down list, the same role must be assigned to the applicable user group in order to give them access to that part of the system.
If individual accounts do not have any security roles selected, the roles specified for the applicable ledger will be used. If individual accounts and the ledger have different roles specified, then the user group will need to have both security roles applied.
