PS People Version 2.24.07 Release (April 2024)

This topic provides information about new features and fixes in this version of PS People.

Update Software

To install the updates:

  • If you are a PS Cloud customer, this release will be made automatically by the PS Cloud team.
  • If you are an On-premise customer, you must install the updates.

Fixes and Updates

Payroll

  • In line with the new government announcement on 7th March, the main employee National Insurance (NI) rate will reduce from 10% to 8% on 6th April 2024. A new text file is available to download.

    If the file opens in a new web browser tab instead of downloading, copy all contents to a file called Statbudg2024.txt.

  • Files containing blank lines and commas can now be imported successfully when using Working File – Quick Import

  • Replacement payroll codes are not shown correctly when using Calculation Type: As Entered in Payment/Deductions

    The Unit and Rate must be set on the original Payroll code for the Calculation Type: As Entered to be used on the replacement codes.

  • Entered Factor percentages are now included correctly in the Calculation Type: As Entered
  • To make sure Teachers' Pensions are aware of contractual enrolled or re-enrolled employees, Type must be completed in the MCR report. To add the Type: 
    1. Go to HR Record, select Payroll Details, then Pensions.
    2. Where an active pension is set to From, for Type, select Automatic or Contracted.

Portal

  • Password reset emails now send correctly when selecting Forgotten Password? Click Here on the Portal log-in page

General Fixes and Updates

  • System notification emails, such as annual leave requests, now send correctly
  • Database update in progress. Please try again later message now displayed if trying to log into the system when the database is updating
